Firstly i want to say i really really really love the detail and attention to every brushstroke. The picture has an alternate reality/through the veil sort of feel to it.

The use of shadow and the vague, almost hooded form add a sense of macabre to the painting.

The blurring of the man's face makes me feel like this person is lost in despair and has lost themselves but i feel it can be taken many ways.

I really enjoyed it.
